March 2011

Highlights from March:

- Little Man started his 2nd spring season of t-ball playing with the Braves again.

- He FINALLY figured out how to swing himself! Better late than never!

- He had his 5-year shots that he didn't get to have back in December. As feared, he freaked out and had a miserably difficult time with them. Thankfully, no more until he's going into 7th grade!

- We found out that Little Man qualified for magnet school #2, but ended up #1 on the waiting list. We learned around mid-month that a spot opened up, so he got in! As for magnet school #1...he didn't even qualify. Oh well...their loss!

- Little Man got a lesson on earthquakes and tsunamis after the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. He really absorbs stuff like that and expresses himself by drawing.

- I attended my 3rd year of Winter Jam!!!  As usual, it was AWESOME! Performers included Jason Castro, Chris August, Red, Russ Lee and Newsong, Francesca Battistelli, David Crowder Band, Kutless and Newsboys. TobyMac made a very brief appearance with the Newsboys.

- We tested our new boat on the water and determined that it, indeed, floated.

- Little Man showed us that he could figure out multiplication in his head when he asked how many minutes are in a football game. Hubby said that there are four 15-minute quarters. Little Man's response: "So, that means there are 60 minutes in the game?" When asked how he figured it out, he answered, "Because 4 x 15 is 60...DUH!" LOVE HIM!!!

- We saw and took pictures of the Super Full Moon

- My sister got the good news that she got the job as a South Carolina SLED (a crime scene investigator)! All these years of school have FINALLY paid off for her! I'm so proud of her!

- I played Bunco for my first time and was hooked!

- Little Man learned the definition of "cooties" from his Granddaddy. What are Granddaddies for, huh?

Here are some pictures from the month:
