Little Man had his bi-annual visit with the dentist (Dr. S) back on June 15. He did VERY well! This was the first time he had x-rays (bitewings) taken and he even did great with those! Dr. S wanted to check out the 6-year molars because he noticed Little Man's teeth were shifting (yes, he's only 4-1/2). Sure enough, the 2 bottom molars were nearly ready to come through! Dr. S estimated another 6 months (so sometime around his 5th birthday). The top 2 are still only seeds, so will have a while to go.
Fast forward 12 days to June 27. After briefly complaining tonight for the 2nd time in the last few days that his teeth were hurting, I took a peek. Sure enough, there were 2 white bumps where the molars are about to come through! Ouchy! I explained to him what was going on, so *hopefully* he's somewhat prepared. I pray that they'll come through with minimal pain. He's now plenty old enough to comprehend what's going on and to REMEMBER it! :(
