A YouTube Video

While browsing YouTube videos with Christopher, we came across a slew of VeggieTales clips. Here's one that I'd never seen that cracked me up:

The Biscuit of Zazzamarandabo Silly Song

Friday Fill-Ins

I keep forgetting to do this each Friday. Here's today's, though:

1. One of the best concerts/plays/movies I ever saw that I really didn't think I'd like was the play, Oklahoma, back in high school (that was when I found out that I really like those types).

2. Impossibly Easy Cheeseburger Pie is a recipe I recently made (or meal I recently ordered) that was delicious!

3. It's time for cooler temperatures.

4. A Coca-Cola is quite refreshing.

5. If I never hear the term "fundamental difference" again, it'll be too soon.

6. To one side of the curving road was a beautiful ocean, and on the other was another beautiful ocean.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to Pizza Night, tomorrow my plans include watching the Vols get tromped on by Georgia and Sunday, I want to relax in the few hours between church activities!

We're FULLY Potty-Trained!

It's official and I just have to brag...Christopher is officially 100% potty trained!!! Woo hoo!!! 2 years, 9 months and 3 weeks old!!! He's been day trained for quite some time now (since beginning of September). He's also been night trained for a while, but I was keeping a Pull-Up on him "just in case" because I wasn't ready. He's stayed dry for a few weeks and has even gotten up in the middle of the night to go potty, so I finally took the plunge on Monday, Oct. 6 and let him wear his underwear to bed. So far, he's doing excellent!

I know I'm lucky, but I can't believe how incredibly easy he's been to train!!! I've always heard of the nightmares parents have, but Christopher made things easy! Overall, though, he's been a VERY easy baby and now toddler, so it's not unlike him at all. It has, however, made me a bit more unsure of having a 2nd child. We can't be lucky enough to have TWO easy kids, can we??? More than likely, with our luck, #2 will be the complete opposite of Christopher and make me dead positive that we won't be having 3 kids! LOL!

Our Busy Day

Christopher and I had a very busy day this past Saturday (Oct. 4) while Daddy and Granddaddy went to Knoxville to the UT game! In the morning, we went to our local pumpkin patch (Walden Farm). It was our 3rd year to go and, as usual, Christopher had a BLAST! However, for something that's supposed to be "free," it sure didn't turn out that way! I walked out of there spending $11: sand art necklace: $2; hayride: $3 for me, Christopher's free; kiddie play area w/corn maze: $3 for Christopher, adults are free; $3 for lunch. Guess they have to make money somehow. I kept him awake in the car afterward (approx. 30 minute drive)and *tried* to put him down for a nap when we got home. However, even with as exhausted as he was, he had other ideas and wouldn't go to sleep!

Our evening activities included driving up to Granddaddy's church in Nashville to see VeggieTales. Thankfully, Christopher crashed as soon as we hit the road and got about a 30-minute nap, which held him over through the show. At first, he didn't like being there and wanted to go home. However, once the show started, he was in complete awe! He wouldn't sing along to the songs even though he has many of them memorized from the HOURS upon HOURS of playtime on the cd player in the car! I know he liked them, though, because his attention was only redirected by the really neat shadows on the ceiling from the lights and the time he had to go potty before intermission. The downside of being potty trained...he also had to go potty 2 times before the show started! Thankfully, after intermission, he didn't have to go anymore. He was SOOOO tired by the end of the show and as soon as we hit the road, he was out like a light! He came away from the show with a VeggieTales glow wand, a t-shirt and memories that I'm sure he'll have for many, many more months (he's still talking about that air show from back in April)!

Of course, I took TONS of pictures! Here are links to my Facebook page where I posted them:
