He Stayed Dry!

We were at church all morning until shortly after lunch and Christopher actually stayed dried the ENTIRE time!!! Woo hoo!!! Of course, he insisted on trying way too often, but it gave him more opportunities to actually go. I think he was just bored and liked washing his hands afterward since he could do it all by himself (he needs help at home). After he wakes up from his nap, we'll attempt underwear for the rest of the day. Hopefully, that will be successful, too!

We're leaving Saturday morning for Destin, so unless something big happens, I probably won't post again until after we get back on Saturday, August 23. Please pray for safe travels for us (and a smooth car ride with Christopher)! Thanks! :-) I'll post pictures after we get home and I get them sorted and uploaded.

Potty Training Update - Week #2

We are now 1-1/2 weeks into full-time potty training. We have our good days and bad days. Today's been very frustrating with 2 pee accidents before 2 pm. Yesterday, we started off with one first thing in the morning, but from about 9A to 5P, he did GREAT! Then, he had 2 (including 1 poop) between 5P and 7P. We're just taking it one day at a time.

We'll be leaving for our trip to Destin this Saturday (Aug. 16) and I'm planning to put him in Pull-Ups for the 8+ hour drive. I'm hoping this vacation isn't going to totally mess up potty training, but I am expecting a set-back of some sort. Wish us luck!

Who's Baby Hiccup?

For those of you who see us frequently, you've probably heard all about Baby Hiccup. However, for those of you who are asking this question, Baby Hiccup is Christopher's imaginary friend. Yep, he's now entered that stage!

It all started about a month ago. I was getting Christopher out of the car when he started pretending that he had the hiccups. I warned him that he'd better stop or he'll really get them. Then, out of nowhere, he started talking about Baby Hiccup. For the next couple of days, he only mentioned Baby Hiccup once or twice. However, a few days later, Baby Hiccup was pretty much doing everything that Christopher was doing. We even frequently host Baby Hiccup's mommy, daddy, granddaddy and grandma! It's been TOO funny! I've found that Baby Hiccup is frequently Christopher's alter-ego...when Christopher has a potty accident, Baby Hiccup did the right thing and went pee pee on the potty; when Christopher's too afraid of something, Baby Hiccup is brave; when Christopher's brave, Baby Hiccup's too afraid. Baby Hiccup is usually with him wherever he goes. However, on Sundays while driving home from church, he's in his Mommy and Daddy's car which is always up ahead of us.

I hear having imaginary friends is a sign of intelligence! LOL! ;-)
