Our 2nd Trip to Walden Farm

Yesterday was our 2nd trip to the pumpkin patch, Walden Farm. We met up with my Babycenter.com birthboard buddy, Becca, and her daughter, Juliana. We all had a LOT of fun, but since the kids didn't get naps, they were EXHAUSTED!!! We all went on the hayride and then the kids played in the hay maze, with the corn troughs, with the farm play table, in the kiddie play area (including the corn crib, a tire swing and Hay Mountain), fed the goats and finished up with the kiddie corn maze. Of course, we got LOTS of pictures! Here are a few:

Christopher and Juliana on the hayride

Playing with the farm play table

Posing as a scarecrow and pumpkin

Playing with the corn in troughs

You'd think these goats were STARVING!

Playing in the corn crib

Christopher's first time on a tire swing

King and Queen of Hay Mountain

Going through the corn maze

Awww! Aren't they so cute together??

Last picture, I PROMISE!

Our Busy Day

Christopher and I had a very busy day this past Saturday (Oct. 4) while Daddy and Granddaddy went to Knoxville to the UT game! In the morning, we went to our local pumpkin patch (Walden Farm). It was our 3rd year to go and, as usual, Christopher had a BLAST! However, for something that's supposed to be "free," it sure didn't turn out that way! I walked out of there spending $11: sand art necklace: $2; hayride: $3 for me, Christopher's free; kiddie play area w/corn maze: $3 for Christopher, adults are free; $3 for lunch. Guess they have to make money somehow. I kept him awake in the car afterward (approx. 30 minute drive)and *tried* to put him down for a nap when we got home. However, even with as exhausted as he was, he had other ideas and wouldn't go to sleep!

Our evening activities included driving up to Granddaddy's church in Nashville to see VeggieTales. Thankfully, Christopher crashed as soon as we hit the road and got about a 30-minute nap, which held him over through the show. At first, he didn't like being there and wanted to go home. However, once the show started, he was in complete awe! He wouldn't sing along to the songs even though he has many of them memorized from the HOURS upon HOURS of playtime on the cd player in the car! I know he liked them, though, because his attention was only redirected by the really neat shadows on the ceiling from the lights and the time he had to go potty before intermission. The downside of being potty trained...he also had to go potty 2 times before the show started! Thankfully, after intermission, he didn't have to go anymore. He was SOOOO tired by the end of the show and as soon as we hit the road, he was out like a light! He came away from the show with a VeggieTales glow wand, a t-shirt and memories that I'm sure he'll have for many, many more months (he's still talking about that air show from back in April)!

Of course, I took TONS of pictures! Here are links to my Facebook page where I posted them:
