Christopher's Visit to the Fire Station

On Saturday, we took Christopher to Shad's hometown over in Monterey. We went to visit my dad first and stayed there for a few hours. After eating lunch, he had fun playing in the yard and the treehouse. He got his first opportunity to get paid for doing work. My dad needed his help picking up sticks around the yard and paid him $2.00. :D

We then went to the Volunteer Fire Department where Christopher took a tour. We got to see LOTS of firetrucks! Of course, I took lots of pictures, too. Here's the link to my Facebook photo album, but here are a few samples:









Afterward, we went to visit one of Shad's old friends and his family. We ended up staying longer than we'd planned, though (got to playing Wii...Christopher beat me at bowling!), and didn't get home until 10:00 pm. On top of that, we had the time change to factor in, so it was really more like 11:00 pm. Despite going nap-less, Christopher didn't fall asleep right away. He finally zonked when we were about 45 minutes from home. Needless to say, we were all dragging on Sunday morning when getting up for church!
