A Date Has Been Set!

38 weeks 6 days

Countdown: T - 3 days!!!

I had my ultrasound and doctor's appointment today:

Blood Pressure: 118/62
Weight: 2 lb loss from last visit...total of 41 lbs
Urine: Good
Christopher's heart rate: 128 bpm
Christopher's estimated weight: 9 lbs 2 oz

Since the weight is estimated to be so big, the doctor suggested that we go ahead and go straight for a c-section. So much for avoiding it if at all possible! He said that it was up to me, though. We could wait to see if Christopher will come on his own, but of course, he's only getting bigger. Then, we run into too many risks that come along with me being small and him being big. I want to do what's best for Christopher, so am going with the c-section.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 15 is the date that's been set! I'm waiting for the hospital to call me with a time, but it should be sometime Thursday morning.

I'm planning to go ahead and work Tuesday and Wednesday. It should keep me occupied and help me get through the next 2 days. I still feel numb and have a lot of different feelings right now. I can't believe it's becoming a reality! I don't feel ready yet! We still need to make a shopping trip to get a few things, so will need to do that pretty quick.
