First Bite

Well, Christopher's been initiated into the world of biting. Blah! It happened at church in his 1-year-old Sunday School class. The little 16 month old boy who bit him did so for no reason. Christopher was sitting in a rocking chair minding his own business when the little boy got him on the left cheek. The grandmother said that he thinks he's "kissing" and doesn't realize that he's biting instead. I was in the Crawler's class next door when Christopher's teacher came and got me. I could hear Christopher crying from my class, so ran right over there. Of course, I wanted to cry right along with him, but kept my composure for his sake. When I got to him, he had big puppy dog tears rolling down his face and he reached right for me. The bite wasn't too bad...it broke the skin just a little bit and left a nasty bruise, but all in all, he's fine. He stopped crying after a little while, but started back up a little while later when it came time for me to leave and go back to my class. After about 10 minutes of him crying off and on, I decided to go get him and bring him back to my class. Thankfully, the only kids in my class were 2 walkers close to Christopher's age (there's not room for them in the 1-year old class right now). He was perfectly fine after a few minutes of playing and has done good the rest of the day.
